As concerns about AI security continue to escalate, companies in the sector are taking significant steps to enhance their security measures. According to reports, AI security startup HiddenLayer has recently announced a $100 million Series B funding round aimed at expanding its Agentic Runtime Security product line to bolster enterprise AI security. The company focuses on checking models and their dependent packages for tampering before deployment and monitors live systems to prevent model theft. Over the past year, HiddenLayer has signed on more than 50 new platform customers, with annual recurring revenue growing more than tenfold, now reaching tens of millions of dollars.
In parallel, Huskeys Security has secured $27 million in Series A funding, concentrating on edge security. The company processes over a trillion web requests daily, aiming to address the security challenges posed by AI-driven traffic and increasingly complex edge environments.
Additionally, OpenClaw has released what it describes as the largest update in its history, implementing a system-wide rewrite that enhances security controls. This update spans runtime behavior, plugins, and security controls, reflecting enterprises' growing scrutiny of how agent-based systems operate. According to a Gartner analyst, agent security cannot be addressed in isolation; effective trust boundaries must be established across runtime, memory, and integrations. Overall, the AI security sector is undergoing rapid technological evolution and market changes, necessitating that enterprises continuously assess and update their security strategies to combat emerging threats.
